Five years ago, CDN made a commitment to invest more intentionally in the communities that have supported us. Today, we're proud to celebrate an important milestone: more than $1 million invested through over 200 community partnerships, sponsorships, and initiatives across Western Canada.
For us, community investment has never been about checking a box. It's about recognizing that our work is connected to something bigger. The communities where we build projects are the same communities where our employees live, raise families, volunteer, coach, and create lasting relationships. When those communities are stronger, we all benefit.
That's why our Community Investment program exists.
Since 2020, we've partnered with organizations advancing mental health, skilled trades education, youth development, health and wellness, emergency response, Indigenous partnerships, and community connection. From the CDN Electrical Education Centre at Northwestern Polytechnic to Tough Enough To Talk About It mental health programming, Ronald McDonald House Charities, STARS, local sports organizations, community events, and countless grassroots initiatives, every investment has been guided by a simple question:
How can we leave this community stronger than we found it?
Today, we're proud of the milestone, but we're even prouder of what it represents.
Behind every dollar invested is a relationship. A volunteer. A child learning a trade. A family receiving support. A community gathering in a space made possible through partnership. These are the moments that remind us community investment isn't separate from our business—it reflects the kind of company we aspire to be.
